Redstone Castle Wedding
As some of you know, I moved to Redstone from New Castle last year. I’m still pretty much in the same valley, just more toward Carbondale/Aspen. I’ve been exploring this area of the Crystal Valley for the last year, finding all kinds of beautiful spots for photos and little hidden locations that I’m just in love with. The one place I always wanted to shoot at is the Redstone Castle. So naturally when Darci reached out about her and Chris’s wedding, I was ecstatic!
If you don’t know anything about the Castle, you should definitely read up on it. It’s an absolutely magnificent place. Built in 1902, with 66 rooms, this place is full of rich history. Tiffany & CO lighting adorns every room, wallpapers are handpainted and handmade (including leather, linen, silk and velvet wallpapers!!), the original furniture and art sits in the many rooms, and there are amazing views of the Crystal Valley out of every window. If you have the chance, I highly suggest purchasing a tour of this property, or at the very least checking out their website, theredstonecastle.com
Basically, it’s a wedding photographers DREAM.
So, needless to say, this wedding was beautiful from start to finish. With the Castle and the Crystal Valley as our backdrop for the day, you can’t go wrong. Through wind, rain, sunshine, lightning, the power being out for the first half of the day, and a global pandemic, this wedding happened. Nothing could stop the O’hearns from marrying each other. What a beautiful day to witness! I feel so lucky they chose me to capture their big day.
Without further adieu, here at the photos from this gorgeous wedding!
